Bundled DLC, anyone?
Just as it did with Scarlet and Violet, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have today announced that Pokémon Legends: Z-A will be getting a new Switch 2 physical release that comes with the DLC bundled in.
The new copies will launch on 29th October and contain the full Legends: Z-A base game and its Mega Dimension expansion on a single cart — no need for any additional downloads, then!
The box art itself gets a little messy, but it’s what we’ve come to expect from these bundled physicals. The new North American cover keeps the classic Z-A design up top, and dedicates the lower third to the bright DLC art. The end result is quite a lot to take in, but hey, you can’t argue it keeps any content a secret.

The European design, on the flip side, is somehow worse. Instead of just presenting the DLC art, the lower third is itself contained in another little box, clearly outlining the downloadable content origins. Ew.
Anyone who purchases the upcoming physical will also receive a serial code for an extra 100 Ultra Balls — a nice, but perhaps slightly insignificant gesture.
And if you’re after a Switch 1 physical, this one will cater for you, too. The game card can also be played on the old hardware, just without any of the Switch 2 specs, obviously.
