In this nature documentary we cross an entire continent following the one force that built and erased it: water. Where it flows, life explodes. Where it is missing, it carves out everything else.

A journey that begins in the silence of the Namib Desert, the oldest on Earth, and crosses the Sahara, where rivers once flowed and green meadows grew. We discover the Okavango Delta, the river that dies in the Kalahari Desert to ignite life, the Avenue of the Baobabs in Madagascar, and the roar of Victoria Falls, "the smoke that thunders."

We witness the great wildebeest migration in the Serengeti, explore the Ngorongoro Crater, and meet the Maasai people. From Lake Malawi to Lake Nakuru, dyed pink by flamingos, from Kruger Park to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and its mountain gorillas.

Then the great protagonist: the Nile, the river that gave life to ancient Egypt. The Pyramids of Giza, Cairo, Luxor and the Valley of the Kings, the temples of Abu Simbel saved from the waters. And then Marrakech at the foot of the Atlas, the Danakil Depression in Ethiopia, the Red Sea, Zanzibar, the Seychelles, Mauritius and the vanished dodo, Cape Town where two oceans meet.

The journey ends on the roof of Africa, Kilimanjaro, where the eternal snows are disappearing.

A documentary about the nature, geography and wonders of Africa, told through the element that keeps them alive: water.
