Good news, Witchers

Last week, CD Projekt Red released The Witcher 3 Remastered on multiple platforms, including the Switch 2. The developer has now provided an update in its latest set of patch notes about what exactly is in the works for the Switch 2 version of the game.
The plan is to introduce the same “global changes” as other platforms, while also improving some Switch 2-specific aspects. Here’s the rundown:
CDPR: “We are also working on an update for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered, introducing closer parity between all versions of the game, including the same global changes as on other platforms. It will also improve on some Nintendo Switch 2-specific aspects, such as image clarity and sharpness. Expect more information regarding this in the following days.”
When the remaster arrived last week, players said they were experiencing “blurry” visuals on Switch 2. CDPR also noted how it was looking to address “bloom effect” issues across all platforms. As now confirmed, this update will thankfully address “image clarity and sharpness”, and more information will be shared about this soon.
If you are tempted to jump into The Witcher 3 Remaster right now, it’s still in an “excellent” state on the Switch 2. And for existing Switch owners, it’s a free upgrade.
