We’ve seen plenty of Sonic the Hedgehog statues over the years, but this one is a little bit different…and a lot more expensive.

It’s a “one-of-a-kind” porcelain statue celebrating the blue blur’s 35th anniversary. It will be available for one million yen (around $6,330 USD), and just 50 figures will be made available worldwide. You can view the documentary below to see the entire craft process.

The press release notes how this “porcelain is created with gosu, a cobalt-based mineral pigment which never fades” and “the fleeting trail of the supersonic blue flash has been captured by the hands of skilled craftsman and immortilized” (thanks, VGC).

The design is by ‘224porcelain’, described as a “cutting-edge company”, and the statue is being distributed by the global porcelain brand ‘YOYOYO’ on 9th October 2026. The global sale will be a lottery, and you can find out how to apply via the application page.
