Chad Lowe and Kim Painter‘s eldest daughter Mabel is breaking her silence on a devastating loss.
Indeed, the 17-year-old spoke out days after the Pretty Little Liars alum and producer shared that their daughter Fiona had died at 13.
“I love you so much Fiona,” Mabel wrote on Instagram Oct. 3 alongside photos with her younger sister. “I wish your short time here was easier and i hope your mind is at ease now. I will honor you forever and keep your memory alive. I love you, i hope you knew just how much.”
In one throwback photo, Mabel and Fiona sat in a small doggy bed, while another showed the then-toddlers smiling for the camera as Fiona wrapped her arms around Mabel’s neck while standing inside a crib.
Meanwhile, a more recent snap saw Fiona at a ballet photoshoot, where she looked into the distance while in a standing leg hold position.
Chad and Kim—who also share daughter Nixie, 10, together—confirmed Fiona’s passing in a Sept. 29 statement to People, saying they were “heartbroken by the loss,” adding that the teen was a “loving young girl who was smart, creative, and loved to dance.”

The couple also shared insight into her special bond with the whole family, including both of her sisters.
“She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents,” their statement continued. “In fact, she was the light of our lives.”
“Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time,” the pair said. “If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, please reach out to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.”

They did not confirm Fiona’s cause of death.
Following Fiona’s passing, Chad’s loved ones, including his and brother Rob Lowe’s father Chuck Lowe, showed their support for the family in their time of need. At the same time, he shed light on their own grief.
Indeed, the patriarch shared a photo of Fiona swimming in a pool to his Instagram Sept. 30, writing in the caption, “Rest in peace sweet Fiona.”
