Metroid Prime: Federation Force

Nintendo has recently renewed some more video game trademarks, this time for multiple titles on 3DS and Wii U.

The first game on the list is Next Level’s 2016 Metroid Prime multiplayer spin-off Federation Force. Along with this is the included title Blast Ball (which was also available as a standalone game).

Next up is the 2015 Atlus RPG, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE. This Wii U exclusive eventually got an encore on the original Switch in 2020. And last of all is Ever Oasis by Grezzo, the developer behind Link‘s recent top-down adventures. This action RPG was released on the 3DS in 2017.

As we’ve noted in the past, trademark renewals are part of Nintendo’s everyday business operations to protect its intellectual properties. It means there’s no guarantee these filings will necessarily lead to an announcement or reveal. In saying this, there have been cases in the past where trademark filings led to new game announcements.
