But Switch 2 owners might have to wait a little longer

Geralt returned in The Witcher 3 Remastered earlier this week, and while the remaster is in a playable state, various issues have been identified across all platforms.
CD Projekt Red has already addressed some launch bugs on other platforms, and as for the Switch 2 version, players can apparently expect an update for the Nintendo release at some point in the future.
YouTube channel SwitchUp has been in contact with CDPR and has been told fixes are on the way to address specific issues, such as “blurry” visuals in portable mode. Just don’t expect any issues to be resolved right away, as any patch will still need to go through the usual approval process, and the team is likely being “swamped” with bug reports right now.
“It’s not crisp in handheld, it looks nice though – very vibrant, it’s blurry, but they’ll patch it, I am speaking with CDPR.
“Just to temper expectations – I haven’t actually heard back from my guy yet to what degree they’re tackling handheld. My guess is they’re swamped with bugs and issues to fix and they will get to it when they can. Throw in the fact Nintendo take an age to approve patches I think we will be waiting a couple of weeks for the next at least.”
CDPR’s global community and social media director Marcin Momot has also chimed in, noting how the team is looking to address “bloom effect” issues across “all platforms” and is hoping to have the changes ready by the “next update”. Here’s what he had to say:
CDPR: “We are looking into addressing the Bloom effect across all platforms. We’re hoping to have the changes ready for the next update but no details yet. We’ll share more as soon as we can.”
CDPR Witcher 3 quest designer Pawel Sasko has reiterated this, and says “work is ongoing” as the team monitors player reports:
Pawel Sasko: “My dear witchers, we have shipped two hotfixes for The Witcher 3 Remastered and there is more in the works, including bloom effect. Our teams are monitoring your reports diligently and work is ongoing. You are our priority.”
So, if you are encountering any bugs or problems with the Switch 2 build of this remaster, be on the lookout for an update in the near future. As mentioned by Sasko, CDPR has already rolled out a patch and hotfix for other platforms. These have resolved save and load issues, audio problems, adjusted the in-game lighting, and fixed various bugs.
If you didn’t already know, The Witcher 3 Remastered is a free upgrade for existing Switch owners. For new players, it will cost you $59.99 / £45.99.
