Watch: Nicole Kidman Reveals How Tom Cruise, Keith Urban Divorces Compare in Rare Comments
No one does privacy in the public eye quite like Tom Cruise.
The ageless movie star—though he’s 64, to get technical—has been up to his usual full-court press promoting Digger, his first movie to not fall squarely within the action genre in almost 15 years, and he’s been waxing rhapsodic about his longtime love.
“For me, home is on a movie set,” Cruise told GQ for its September cover story. “People go, ‘Where do you live?’ I’m like, ‘On movie sets. And around the world. I’m a citizen of the world, a citizen of humanity.'”
Since home is where the heart is, it stands to reason that the thrice-married actor’s heart belongs to the movies. And he certainly doesn’t mind questions about that.
As he was touring the globe in support of the May 2025 release of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, the eighth and seemingly last film in the $4 billion-dollar franchise that he led since 1996, he made sure to not confirm that he and Ana de Armas were an item following some cozy-looking sightings of him with the Ballerina actress.
He went as far as to praise her as “very, very talented,” describing de Armas to Extra as a “very dramatic actor, comedic,” with “tremendous ability. Learns quickly.”
Meanwhile, de Armas was “definitely working on a lot of things,” she shared on Good Morning America in May 2025, including “not just one, but a few projects, with Doug Liman and Christopher McQuarrie and, of course, Tom.”

But the sightings tapered off and, while they were attached to star in the beneath-the-sea thriller Deeper, directed by Liman, that project is reportedly on hold.
Though they did seem to really be enjoying each other’s company. And it’s not as if romance never blooms in pre-production. Cruise would know.
But the father of three has played his heart cards close to the vest in recent years, not least due to the spectacle that was his courtship of, marriage to and divorce from third wife Katie Holmes.
Yet Tom has been a movie star for 40-odd years, Risky Business cementing his leading-man status in 1983 (incidentally, he dated his leading lady), and with his great fame has come great curiosity about what his off-screen life is really like, regardless of his relationship status.

Aside from being thrice-married, he’s been linked to numerous women—some because he was actually dating them, many because they were in a movie together and others because they happened to enter his orbit and the world is Cruise’s matchmaker.
All of which has led to quite the list. But separating the reality from the rumors was a mission we chose to accept, and this guide untangles it all:
