SNK has announced that there will be a demo available for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves on Switch 2 in late October.

While the demo is available today on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, SNK has unfortunately not committed to a firm date for the Switch 2 at the time of writing. That said, the game itself launches on 22nd October 2026, so we imagine the demo will drop around the same time, or possibly shortly after.

The demo will feature six playable characters, including Rock Howard, Terry Bogard, Hotaru Futaba, Preecha, Vox Reaper, and Mai Shiranui. In terms of available modes, here’s a full breakdown from SNK itself:

Arcade: Play two matches in total, using Rock, Terry, and Hotaru, from the prologue to the CPU battles and rival cutscenes.

Classic Versus: Play against the CPU or watch CPU vs CPU. Player vs Player is not available.

Training: Practice using the 6 characters on 4 stages.

Tutorial: You can learn from BEGINNER, BASIC, and EXPERT tutorials.

Trial: Attempt various trials for the 6 characters available in the demo version.

Colour Edit: Customise the colours of 6 characters available in the demo version.

Like most modern fighting games these days, you’ll also have the option to choose between one of two control schemes: Arcade Style and Smart Style. Arcade utilises traditional fighting controls for those more experienced in the genre, while Smart is recommended for newcomers, mapping all sorts of combos and special attacks to just one button.
