What to Know About Jennifer Meyer’s Husband Geoffrey Ogunlesi

Watch: Tobey Maguire Officiates Ex-Wife Jennifer Meyer’s Wedding to Billionaire Heir Geoffrey Ogunlesi

For starters, Geoffrey Ogunlesi has to be a pretty great guy, or else Tobey Maguire wouldn’t have pronounced him and Jennifer Meyer husband and wife.

Less than a month after Maguire and Meyer finalized their decade-in-the-making divorce, the jewelry designer married Ogunlesi in Hawaii on Oct. 10, with the Spider-Man star officiating their vows and the bride’s three children—including the 4-month-old daughter she shares with the groom—in attendance.

If this sounds like a tangled web, know that the bride has called her breakup with Maguire—they separated in 2016 and she filed for divorce in 2020—the “most beautiful experience” of her life, as she and the actor remained the best of friends.

Not that it was easy, but it was the choice they made as parents of daughter Ruby and son Otis, now 19 and 17.

“We did a lot of work to stay on track to stay a family,” Meyer shared on a June 2022 episode of The World’s First Podcast. “But now we talk about our significant others and ‘Hey, you got the kids? I’m going for a weekend away.'”

Unless one of them is marrying her longtime love at the Four Seasons Resort Lanai. In that case, their whole blended family makes the trip.

And speaking of significant others, read on for what to know about Meyer’s husband Ogunlesi:

Who is Geoffrey Ogunlesi?

Often referred to as a billionaire heir, Ogunlesi is a son of Nigerian lawyer and investment banker Adebayo Ogunlesi, the founder of Global Infrastructure Partners, and optometrist Amelia Quist-Ogunlesi. As of Oct. 12, Forbes estimated Adebayo’s real time net worth at $2.6 billion.

The 34-year-old graduated from Amherst College, according to LinkedIn, and worked in A&R for Warner Music Group and 300 Entertainment before starting his own music management company, The Ogunlesi Group, in 2022. Clients include Alabama Barker, Young Thug and Myles Frost.

Meyer’s parents are Ellen Meyer and Ronald Meyer, a co-founder of talent agency CAA and former Universal Studios president.

How did Jennifer Meyer meet Geoffrey Ogunlesi?

It’s unclear when and where exactly Meyer and Ogunlesi first crossed paths, but his company is based in Los Angeles, where she was born and raised, and their circles could have easily crossed.

They were first romantically linked in the summer of 2023 and made their red carpet debut at the annual Baby2Baby Gala that November.

And while Ogunlesi’s social media is mostly dedicated to his career endeavors, Meyer discreetly made her debut on his Instagram in a Nov. 29, 2023, birthday gratitude post captioned, “Another one. Grateful for everything and everyone in my life. You know who you are.”

Meyer has for the most part let a handful of sweet Instagram snaps do the talking about the love she’s found with Ogunlesi, marking milestones such as their engagement and his first Father’s Day without much commentary.

But she has raved about where she’s at with her ex-husband, noting on a December episode of the Inside Edit podcast that Maguire is her “best friend and would do anything for me, and I would do anything for him. Anything in the world.”

Maguire certainly walked that walk when he presided over Meyer and Ogunlesi’s Oct. 10 vows.

Though Meyer remained mum about wedding planning, in hindsight she gave a hint when she named the Four Seasons Lanai as one of her favorite hotels in a recent sit-down with Elle Decor, as she and Ogunlesi said “I do” at the five-star resort.
