Including a look at frame gen toggle
Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen arrived on the Switch 2 this week, and if you’re curious to see how it compares to its PS5 counterpart, YouTube channel ElAnalistaDeBits has now released a side-by-side graphics comparison.
Firstly, players can apparently expect an upscaled resolution of 1080p in handheld and 1440p in docked mode. As for the game’s performance, it hovers around 40fps, and if you toggle “on” frame generation, you’ll experience the equivalent of 60fps.
In our review here on Nintendo Life, we noted visual downgrades and longer loading times in the Switch 2 version, but also said it was a “much smoother experience” compared to the game’s original launch, and another great port from Capcom.
“It running on the Switch 2 as well as it does when even the PS5 struggled is testament to just how Capcom is proving to be one of the best developers for the console.”
