Watch: Karlie Kloss Attends Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce’s Wedding After Years of Feud Rumors
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have found an extraordinarily happy place with the help of Adam Sandler.
The couple, who started dating in 2023, officially tied the knot at a star-studded Madison Square Garden ceremony July 3 in front of an estimated 1,000 friends and family, in a ceremony officiated by Adam Sandler.
For the event, Swift and Kelce wore custom Christian Dior Haute Couture looks designed by Jonathan Anderson. Instead of a traditional wedding party, Swift tapped her brother Austin Swift to be her Man of Honor, while Kelce’s brother Jason Kelce acted as his best man.
As for why the couple opted to have the comedian—who stepped out at the July 2 rehearsal dinner alongside his wife Jackie Sandler and daughters Sadie Sandler, 20, and Sunny Sandler, 17—be a critical role in the major milestone of their love story?
On top of enjoying nearly 30 years of marital bliss with his wife and being a dedicated Swiftie, Kelce previously proved his acting chops in Sandler’s Happy Gilmore 2, which is a film Swift has not only seen before, but certainly liked the ending.
“Happy Gilmore 2 had me cackling and cheering the whole movie!” Swift wrote on her Instagram story last July. “An absolute must watch, 13/10, go watch it on @netflix as soon as humanly possible.”
Indeed, the “Opalite” singer enjoyed the flick so much that it led her to put pen to paper while writing The Life of a Showgirl—specifically her track “Wi$h Li$t.”
“When I met Travis, I started to feel like I could be a person who could have romantic whims and have these dreams,” Swift explained during an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe in October. “The song ‘Wi$h Li$t,’ that chorus—I don’t know if you’ve seen the movie Happy Gilmore, but he has this happy place where he goes into this utopia where, this is exactly what he would want and this is where he escapes to mentally in times of stress, pressure, anxiety or chaos.”
Swift shared, “The chorus of that song, is me just describing what my happy place is.”

And if the chorus is any indication, Swift just might be in her happy place right now.
“I just want you,” Swift sings in the track. “Have a couple kids / Got the whole block lookin’ like you / We tell the world to leave us the f–k alone / And they do, wow / Got me dreamin’ ’bout a driveway with a basketball hoop / Boss up, settle down, got a wish list / I just want you.”
