Simu Liu Marries Fiancée Allison Hsu in Wedding Ceremony in France

Simu Liu has some marvelous news.

The Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star married fiancée Allison Hsu after four years of dating, according to multiple outlets. TMZ reported their wedding took place in France, where where the two gotengaged in May 2025.

Liu, 37, and Hsu, 30, were first linked in November 2022. At the time, Hsu, a digital marketing director for Interscope Records, shared a photo of the two looking cozy on Instagram. The couple made their red carpet debut days later on Nov. 29 at the premiere of Violent Night in Los Angeles.

And Liu never shied away from raving about his better half.

“I love you to pieces babe,” the Marvel star shared on Instagram in August 2023 for her birthday. “Whether we’re on another crazy trip to god-knows-where for who-knows-what, or just binging our way through friends at home, there’s simply nothing better than holding your hand. Thanks for never giving up on me.”

The two announced their engagement in May of last year, posting a photo from a Paris balcony with Hsu showing off her massive diamond ring and writing in an Instagram caption, “Us forever.”

The epic proposal also had an extra special surprisebecause Liu got a little bit of help from Taylor Swift.

“My fiancée is a Swiftie,” he explained on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in December. “Taylor Swift’s music was a big part of the beginning of our relationship, [because I] was getting to know her through those songs and why they meant so much to her. So I was like, ‘Well, there’s one person that would make this engagement so special.’”

The Barbie actor reached out to Swift’s team, asking if the “Love Story” singer could “make a two-second video” for his fiancée. Two days later, he received a clip of Swift congratulating Hsu on the engagement.

“Taylor Swift was the cherry on top. I was like, ‘Wow, I should plan things more often,’” he joked, adding that his partner was incredibly moved by the surprise. “She was really emotional before, but when I played that video, she really lost it.”
