Watch: Kaitlyn Bristowe Says Brian Austin Green “Humiliated” Sharna Burgess by Complaining About ‘DWTS’
Brian Austin Green can’t just waltz into any DWTS taping.
While the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum’s fiancée Sharna Burgess and her celeb partner Tyler Cameron have continued to dominate season 35, Green hasn’t yet been in the audience to show support.
“I was there a lot in the beginning,” he told US Weekly in an Oct. 12 interview, before noting that DWTS production has “cracked down a little bit on young kids being there.”
Indeed, Green—dad to Kassius, 24, with ex Vanessa Marcil, as well as Noah, 14, Bodhi, 12 and Journey, 10, with ex Megan Fox, in addition to his and Sharna’s son Zane, 4—admitted that their toddler doesn’t make the best partner to have in the ballroom.
“I can’t be there with Zane and the kids,” the 53-year-old explained. “So we have found a time when it works where they can be home with someone and I can go.”
But while Green isn’t there IRL to support his fiancée of three years, he’s always rooting her on.
“I’m always there, whether I’m sitting in the audience or I’m sitting at home watching,” he continued. “I’m always rooting for her. So, we figure out from episode to episode what works.”
What’s more, Green is learning new steps to support Burgess after she laced back up her ballroom shoes following a five-year hiatus.
“The Dancing With the Stars schedule is a pretty packed one,” he explained. They have a lot of stuff that they do, so it’s not the time that I’m used to [having] with her. It’s just taking getting used to. It is going OK, it’s going to be really busy for the next month and a half if she makes it all the way to the end.”
Meanwhile, DWTS has always been a pivotal point in Green and Burgess’ love story. While their first-ever tango actually took place at a coffee shop, the Don’t Blink star signed on to compete in season 30 of the reality competition series to spend more time with his then-girlfriend.

“She’s amazing,” Green—who placed 13th on his season—said of Burgess while competing in the series. “She’s been doing this her whole life. She’s a dancer and I know nothing about it.”
And Green was more than happy to let Burgess take the lead.
“I made a choice early on, when we would go and rehearse, that I need to put whatever ego that would possibly come up aside and just listen and learn,” he added. “She’s really great.”
Burgess, for her part, admitted that dating her dance partner off-screen was actually a disadvantage when it came to performing for the judges.
“We want to make sure our relationship is good outside of it,” she told US Weekly at the time. “That’s always going to be a priority for us.”
