PTA’s Concert Doc ‘Cameron Winter at Carnegie Hall’ Official Trailer​

35mm concert tour begins this winter. Janus Films has revealed an official trailer for Cameron Winter at Carnegie Hall, the highly anticipated concert documentary film made by Oscar-winning master filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson. This was recorded last year during a live performance at Carnegie Hall in New York City with PTA and his giant cameras on hand to film the evening. It was shot on 35mm film and will be presented on 35mm film as a special cinema tour this fall stating in late November. The prints will be made by Fotokem in Los Angeles, supervised by the filmmakers for the release. Acclaimed 24-year-old musician Cameron Winter, in December 2025, after a months-long sold-out tour with his band Geese, returned to NYC to play a single show at Carnegie Hall. This is the movie. Filmmaker PTA captured his performance with an intimacy only experienced by those in the room. Now, audiences around the country will be able to experience it themselves. The music was recorded and produced for the film and previously announced live album by music producer Ariel Rechtshaid (Grammy winner for albums with Vampire Weekend and Adele). Even if you’re not familiar with Cameron Winter’s music, it will still be an enchanting cinematic experience.

Cameron Winter, in December 2025, after a months-long sold-out tour with his band Geese, returned to New York to play a single show at Carnegie Hall. This is the movie. Winter’s solo album Heavy Metal was named one of the best of the year by Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, Paste and Mojo and Geese’s last record Getting Killed was named the best album of 2025 by The New Yorker, NME, and Stereogum. Winter was one of the youngest people ever to headline Carnegie Hall (at 23), edged out slightly by Bob Dylan (22, in 1963). Partisan Records/Play It Again Sam will release the performance as a live album – Live at Carnegie Hall – on October 9th. Cameron Winter at Carnegie Hall is a concert doc directed by the Oscar-winning American filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson, director of the films Hard Eight, Boogie Nights, Magnolia, Punch-Drunk Love, There Will Be Blood, The Master, Inherent Vice, Phantom Thread, Licorice Pizza, and One Battle After Another previously, plus the music doc Junun.
