Japan gets a new “Choose-Your-Game” bundle

The Switch 2 is now over a year into its life, and Nintendo has so far shifted more than 23 million units globally. In recent months, the video game giant has announced multiple hardware bundles (and even some themed systems) to help boost worldwide sales, and it’s now Japan’s turn.
The homeland of Nintendo will be getting a new Switch 2 “Choose-Your-Game” hardware bundle next month on 12th November 2026. It will be priced at 63,980 yen and allows players to redeem either Mario Kart World, Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, or Nintendo Switch Sports Resort via the eShop.

One important thing to note is the hardware is the “Japanese-language System“. This model was originally released last year, and is created specifically for the Japanese market. Tomodachi Life is also notably one of the games users can pick, and while there are some benefits when playing it on the Switch 2, it is still a Switch release.
Recently, Nintendo has also announced it’s releasing a Monster Hunter Wilds-themed Switch 2 bundle in Japan this December alongside the game’s launch. Elsewhere, similar bundles where you can choose a game have also been released. Games like Pokémon Pokopia also got Switch 2 bundles.
