Watch: Collin Gosselin Addresses Mom Kate Gosselin’s Possible Reaction to His Memoir
Kate Gosselin isn’t going to engage in speculation.
As fans of Jon & Kate Plus 8 await the release of Collin Gosselin’s memoir—which purportedly details his and his mother’s fraught relationship as well as what allegedly went on behind the scenes of the TLC series—Kate’s social media comment section is filling up with those in support of her and those in support of Collin.
Among those commenting on her TikTok videos were a few users who speculated that the reality TV alum was filtering or limiting comments mentioning Collin.
“Yep I sure am!” she wrote in response to one comment. “This page is about my real life and it’s all about kindness, love, honesty and definitely not for made up accusation discussion!”
In a similar response, Kate referred to her son’s accusations as “ridiculous,” emphasizing her account is meant for speaking “honestly and accurately.”
Others weighed in on the accuracy of Collin’s allegations, with one person wondering, if Kate is “100% certain that that the accusations against [her] are lies,” why she hasn’t taken her son to court and sued him for defamation.
“I can’t bc I’m a public figure,” Kate wrote in response. “Rules are different unfortunately. Or I def would!”
“The rules are different for ppl in the public eye,” she added after other users expressed confusion. “I consulted a high power LA attorney (you’ve definitely heard of him) years ago when other ppl were putting crazy stuff out there and that’s what he said. The courts don’t honor it if you’re in the public eye :(“

The 51-year-old wrote in a different response that she’s consulted with a “legal expert” and in one comment noted, “”Malice is one of the hardest things to prove. I tried :(“
Another user suggested she undergo a lie detector test, to which she responded, “Ha!”
E! News reached out to Collin’s team for comment but has not yet heard back.
As for Collin—who is one of Kate and Jon Gosselin’s sextuplets and one of only two siblings who has a relationship with their father—he recently speculated on how his mother might react to his memoir, which is titled In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood.
The 22-year-old shared to his June 27 Instagram Story a headline from the New York Post which read, “”Kate Gosselin ‘spiraling’ ahead of estranged son Collin’s bombshell memoir: ‘She knows it’s about to hit the fan.'”
In addition to blurring his mother’s face, which was included in the original post, Collin also shared a comment from a follower which read, “What’s done in darkness will always come to light.”
Collin’s memoir publishes Oct. 13.
