Watch: Why Chris Hemsworth Says Moving to Australia Was the “Greatest Decision”
The Avengers could use Chris Hemsowrth’s daughter on their next world-saving mission.
After all, the Marvel star proved his and Elsa Pataky’s 14-year-old has her dad’s athleticism, revealing she’s kind of a big deal in the rodeo world.
In a video shared to Chris’ Instagram Sept. 30, an announcer introduced India before she burst into the ring while riding a bucking bull. Staying on for a whopping nine seconds, onlookers behind the fence were amazed at the teen’s skills as they cheered her on.
But her biggest fan remained the Thor actor, who revealed she took home the gold at the competition.
“Just wanna say my daughter is a savage,” he captioned the post. “Only girl in the comp and took home the win proud moment.”
But Chris—who also shares 12-year-old twin boys Sasha and Tristan with Elsa—also played a part in India’s success. In fact, he acted as her hype man before the competition—kind of.
“There she is, champion bull rider,” he said in a second clip before the rodeo. “How you feeling India? Are you gonna hang on? Seven seconds?”
But that’s light work for India, who schooled her dad on the rules of the competition.
“Seven? Why Seven?” she replied. “You have to stay on for eight”
Chris jokingly added, “Eight seconds, what do I know?”

And while India’s private life as a bull riding champ may be new for fans of Chris, it’s exactly the kind of hobby the 43-year-old imagined for his kids when he and Elsa moved their family across the world the Byron Bay, Australia, noting it was the “greatest decision” they could have made for their brood.
“It was right around the time my boys were born and we kind of were set up in L.A. and not enjoying it, you know?” he told Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett during the Feb. 23 episode of their Smartless podcast before acknowledging how his work schedule often took him outside of the city anyway. “Like, nothing was shooting there. We were filming kind of everywhere else.”

Plus, his own upbringing Down Under with brothers Luke Hemsworth and Liam Hemsworth made the move that much more appealing.
“We lived about 20 minutes from the main sort of suburban areas in Melbourne up in the hills,” he explained. “And the nearest neighbor was a kilometer or two away.”
“It was just all bushland and rainforest sort of set up around us,” he added. “And so we would just [have] outdoors adventures and play different characters.”
