Watch: Lady A’s Charles Kelley Shares Rare Blood Cancer Diagnosis
Grace Helbig is shifting her focus to her health.
Four days after the comedian canceled the Canada stops of her Let Me Get This Off My Chest tour due to what she described as “numbness” in her legs, she told fans she had “two things” to update them on, quipping with a laugh, “And they’re both brain tumors.”
“I ended up coming to the emergency room, and they found two tumors in my brain because she missed me. My cancer missed me,” Helbig said in an Oct. 12 Instagram video, referencing her 2023 battle with breast cancer. “So, I’m getting a brain surgery on Wednesday, which is obviously a normal thing to say.”
Despite the difficult news, the 41-year-old—who rose to fame on YouTube, where her @itsGrace channel has over 2.6 million subscribers—is feeling optimistic.
“These are operable brain tumors,” she explained, “and there was a moment in time where it wasn’t certain. Quite scary.”
Still, Helbig kept the moment light while acknowledging that the path forward is currently unclear.
“I’ve asked the doctors. They said the positive attitude can’t fix it, but it can help,” she shared. “We’ll be doing a brain surgery on Wednesday, and then we will go from there. We might do some radiation, we might do some other things. We don’t quite know.”
As Helbig noted, “That’s how this goes. You can only kind of plan one day at a time.”

Amid the health update, the This Might Get Weird podcast host delivered the news that her and cohost Mamrie Hart will also be rescheduling the remainder of their 2026 tour as Helbig focuses on her recovery.
“I just wanted to say that I’m hyped up on steroids four times the dosage that they gave me before chemo,” she said, “and that made me feel like I was gonna run through a wall.”
And as she plans to keep her fans “in the loop” throughout her new diagnosis, Helbig shared how grateful she is to be surrounded by her loved ones, including her husband Elliott Morgan.
“I love my family. I love my friends. I love the breast cancer girls that I’ve met since my last go around with breast cancer,” she concluded. “And I love my husband Elliott so much, it’s stupid. That man has really been a saint. Okay, that’s all I want to say. That’s it. Goodbye for now.”
