Sega has officially revealed “Year Two” of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will get underway on 3rd November 2026.

As part of this, players can expect “major day one updates”, more free characters and Season Pass Two. Here’s the rundown of what’s on the way, and you can see the full showcase in the video above.

Duel Mode

  • Race against a single opponent with the new Duel Boost mechanic.
  • Rival Duel, Duel Match (Free Match), Duel Match (Best-of-10), Friend Match

Gadget System Upgrade

  • A new gadget plate, the Grand Master Plate, will be introduced – adding a 7th super slot for 1-slot gadgets. Adds boosted effect.
  • 15 new gadgets will be introduced

Post-Launch characters as CPU Racers

  • Free and paid characters will be added to the roster as CPU opponents in online and offline modes.
