Chuck Lowe is honoring his late granddaughter.
Chuck—the father of actors Rob Lowe and Chad Lowe—posted a heartbreaking tribute following the death of Chad and wife Kim Painter’s 13-year-old daughter Fiona.
The patriarch shared a photo of Fiona swimming in a pool to his Instagram Sept. 30, writing in the caption, “Rest in peace sweet Fiona.”
Chad and Kim had confirmed Fiona’s passing in a Sept. 29 statement to People, saying they were “heartbroken by the loss,” saying the teen was a “loving young girl who was smart, creative, and loved to dance.”
The Pretty Little Liars alum, 58, and the producer, 52, shared that she had a special bond with her whole family, including sisters Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10.
“She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents,” their statement continued. “In fact, she was the light of our lives.”
“Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time,” the pair said. “If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, please reach out to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.”
They did not confirm Fiona’s cause of death.

“Our hearts are broken for you all,” the Princess Bride star wrote under Chad’s last Instagram post. “Thinking of you and praying for you. Always.”
Marlee, a longtime friend of Chad and Kim, expressed her grief in a post on X, writing, “My heart is broken into pieces. Fly high, Fiona Lowe. Love you Chad and Kim.”

Less than a year before Fiona’s death, Chad had celebrated her turning 13 and officially becoming a teenager by sharing a photo of his daughter leaning against a wooden fence and posing for the camera.
“Keep dancing through life FiBear!” he wrote in a November Instagram post. “Love you soooo much!!”
