There’s been a development in Will Arnett‘s relationship status.

The Arrested Development alum confirmed that he’s dating someone new following his breakup with model Carolyn Murphy earlier this year.

“It’s going really well,” Arnett shared on the Sept. 28 episode of his SmartLess podcast after co-hosts Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes playfully asked for an update on his “love life and domestic life.”

The 56-year-old continued, “I’m very happy—very, very happy. Things are going great.”

Though he agreed with Bateman’s assessment that the relationship is “trending north,” Arnett—who shares sons kids Archie, 17, and Abel, 16, with ex-wife Amy Poehler, as well as 6-year-old son Alexander “Denny“ with ex-girlfriend Alessandra Brawn—is reluctant to think too far ahead.

“I have learned a little bit—in the last two years, especially—to let go of whatever ideas of whatever I think it’s gonna go or it’s gonna happen,” Arnett continued. “As you know, you get dealt so many f–king curveballs. I’m in a place now where I’m really trying my best to just deal with what’s in front of me.”

Especially after spending the recent years “trying my best to lay a great foundation.”

“I surround myself with great people, I’m in great programs with people, I’ve done some work on myself to try to do it in a way so that whatever does come my way,” Arnett added. “I handle it hopefully better than I have historically.”

The Blades of Glory alum did not share the identity of his new partner, though Arnett has always been tight-lipped about his private life. In fact, due to keeping a low profile, he’s seen a misconception that he and Poehler, 55, who finalized their divorce in 2016, don’t get along.

“Over the years, I’ve read so many opinions people have,” he told Rolling Stone in 2025. “It’s f–king hilarious to me how much s–t is just made up and they have zero idea. It’s like, ‘Oh, you think you know what my life is?’”
