WWE SmackDown is live tonight (Oct. 2, 2026) from the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado (the place, not the man!), and we are carrying forward on the road to Money in the Bank.
Advertised for tonight: Panda Express explodes as Kevin Owens and Johnny Gargano meet in Money in the Bank qualifying action and oh yeah, Cody Rhodes will be there too!
Plus, Candice LeRae, Tiffany Stratton, and Tatum Paxley have their own qualifying match and maybe, just maybe Blake Monroe will finally have that match against Giulia and make her SmackDown in-ring debut! Get ready with our preview here!
Come right back here back at the normal start time of 8 pm ET. That’s when the SmackDown live blog will kick off in the space below once the show starts on USA.
WWE SmackDown RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR OCT. 2
Black is the night, metal we fight, power amps set to explode. Energy screams, magic and dreams, Satan records the first note. We chime the bell, chaos and hell, metal for maniacs pure. Fast melting steel, fortune on wheels, and I’m here to liveblog this pro wrestling show for you, folks.
The show opens with a flyby of Denver, Colorado (the place, not the man) and then a recap of last week’s show.
The usual montage of talent arriving at the show follows.
Tiffany Stratton, Candice LeRae, and Tatum Paxley make their entrance for our opening contest.
Candice LeRae vs. Tatum Paxley vs. Tiffany Stratton (Money in the Bank Qualifying Match)
LeRae taking charge, kick, she gets a two-for-one DDT and nearfall on Stratton! Spiking Paxley on the apron, back inside, Tiffany with a handspring back elbow and a thrust spinebuster, cover for two! Candice in the ropes trying to catch her breath, Stratton hits double knees to her back and Tatum sandwiches her with a kcik from the other side!
LeRae goes for a sunset flip, Paxley helps her get it, everybody throwing out pinning predicaments, Tiffany lands a basement dropkick on Candice and Tatum suplexes her in turn! Running elbow takes LeRae off the apron, Paxley throws Tiffy to the apron and then dropkicks her to the floor and moonsaults off the apron and into both women to send us to break!
Back from commercial, Paxley with elbows on LeRae, arm wringer / dropkick combo takes both her opponents out, running elbows for Candice, flash kick, German suplex connects! LeRae with a rebound German suplex, Stratton back in, handspring double Stunner! Fired up, lining Candice up, cartwheel to the Alabama Slam! Tiffany off the top with a senton atomico, Tatum nails her with a spinning wheel kick before she can capitalize… NOPE!
LeRae gets a two-for-one, up top, Paxley cuts her off, Tiffany rolls her up, only two! Fireman’s carry, Tatum slips out… CEMETERY DRIVE CONNECTS! CANDICE TRIES TO STEAL IT BUT PAXLEY MANAGES TO BREAK IT UP! LeRae sets Tatum up top, climbs up with her, jockeying for position, headbutt knocks Candice down, Finlay Roll conects, 450 splash from Tatum, Stratton off the top…
Tiffany Stratton wins by pinfall with the Prettiest Moonsault Ever on Candice LeRae, qualifying for the Money in the Bank ladder match.
Chelsea Green is interviewed backstage in front of Danhausen doing shenanigans with a stuffed buffalo.
Green says whoever wins Money in the Bank will have earned it but she hopes her bestie Tiffany Stratton does.
Nikki Bella rolls up and is very distracting in a weird all-black lingerie version of her usual Bellas jersey and says it doesn’t matter who takes Money in the Bank, she’s gonna challenge for the title and she’s gonna get it.
Paige rolls up and says Nikki doesn’t have the pull to just get a title match and if she wants one she’ll have to go through her anyway. Bella points out that Paige lost their last match and Paige says she doesn’t care about winning or losing, she just wants to beat the hell out of Nikki and she got to do that.
As well Paige got herself a match against Nikki in two weeks in Sacramento and she slaps Bella across the face to seal the deal.
Rey Fenix makes his entrance ahead of our next match and sends us to break.
