WWE NXT is live tonight (Sept. 1, 2026) from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, and tonight’s show is gonna be all about the fallout from Heatwave!
Advertised for tonight: Excellent weirdo Shiloh Hill tests all of his research personally against Naraku— has he learned the secrets of the poison mist?
Plus, Thea Hail goes toe-to-toe with Nikkita Lyons, a grudge match pits Mason Rook against Kam Hendrix, and good friendly violent fun as Dar and Moreno challenge their pals Legacy and Van Dux! Get ready with our preview here!

WWE NXT RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR SEPT. 1
Light up the wheels and go for broke, stomp that pedal with a sniftin’ stroke. Smack that roadblock, caught in a pickle, I’m gonna hit that line like old Dick Trickle and liveblog his here pro wrestling show for you, folks.
The show opens with commentary welcoming us to the show and tossing to a recap of Heatwave.
The usual montage of talent arriving at the arena follows.
Zilla Fatu makes his entrance and gets on the mic.
He says he was hoping he’d be standing in front of us as the new NXT Champion but Heatwave didn’t go his way. The red carpet was rolled out, the stars aligned, but he just couldn’t get it done. But it’s crazy that he’s even in this situation, fighting in a WWE ring for a championship. It felt amazing!
But it’s not a matter of when, it’s when the Main One is holding that title.
Enter Tristan Angels.
He talks some trash, saying the further down Zilla’s bloodline we go, the less talent we find. He doesn’t look like, carry himself like, or live like a champion, unlike him, Tristan Angels, the most handsome man in England and therefore the entire world. Fatu says he thought he was the only nepo baby around here but he didn’t realize Gangrel, Jr. was here!
He likes Angels’ accent but not his attitude, and suggests beating Tristan’s ass in front of his family here in Florida.
Angels rushes him, Zilla quickly gets the better of him and sends him to the floor.
We cut to Robert Stone’s office where he says he’s definitely booking that match.
Saquaon Shugars and EK Prosper are in there making their pitches for challenging NXT Men’s Champion Grayson Waller. He says they both make good cases, they trade compliments, and Robert says with Grayson champ everything’s different and he has to figure it out.
Keanu Carver rolls up and says Stone’s right, they have good cases, but so does he, and what is Stone gonna do about it?
And so we go to break.
Back from commercial, we get a Myles Borne promo from his car.
He talks about how he doesn’t regret defending both titles on Sunday, it was a big swing and he struck out, no regrets. But he saw the way Tavion Heights looked at him and he knew how much the tag titles meant to him and he knew if he turned his back he’d get suplexed into the fifth row. He’s deaf, not blind, he could see, it. So he reacted and he got Tavion before Tavion could get him.
Everybody always asks if you wanna make money or friends and he’s naive enough to think he could do both and it just sucks, man.
Back from commercial, excellent weirdo Shiloh Hill makes his entrance ahead of our opening contest, followed shortly thereafter by Naraku to get us going.
Naraku vs. Shiloh Hill
Circling, Naraku sidesteps the collar and elbow, Hill picks a leg, into grounded punches, duck a lariat, waistlock applide and he takes EVIL down and rides him! Pulling him back up, back elbow breaks the waistlock, Naraku laying chops in, smashing Shiloh’s face into the turnbuckles, dropping him with a shoulder block!
Off the ropes, big shoulder block from Hill, EVIL begs off and throat thrusts him! Shiloh with a shoulder block, combination punches, Naraku floats over, shoves him to the corner and cuts him off such that he crashes to the floor! Smashing Hill’s face into the announce desk and the apron, taking the cover off the desk and we go to break!
