Watch: How Jimmy Kimmel Reacted to Guillermo Rodriguez’s DWTS Elimination
Witney Carson and Guillermo Rodriguez may not have tangoed their way to the Mirrorball trophy, but the dance pro still considers their Dancing With the Stars journey a success.
That’s why she has a sunny outlook after the Jimmy Kimmel Live! personality was eliminated during the Oct. 13 episode of the ballroom dance competition.
“Both Guillermo and I were very content with the results,” Witney exclusively told E! News at Selena Gomez‘s Fourth Annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit Supporting Youth Mental Health in L.A. Oct. 14. “We were both really tired and we were like, ‘Maybe this is the God and the universe telling us you need to take a break now.'”
“So,” the 32-year-old added, “we were okay with it.”
However, Witney admitted it was emotional seeing the “beautiful” montage Jimmy Kimmel Live! aired of her and Guillermo’s season 35 journey.
“It was very bittersweet,” she continued. “This man brought so much joy to so many people every week. So, he will be very missed. I will miss him a lot, for sure.”
That said, after five weeks of competing pregnant with her third baby, Witney—already mom to two young boys with husband Carson McAllister—is finally ready to hang up her dancing shoes and enjoy some well-deserved rest and relaxation.
“I’m so proud of myself,” the reality star reflected. “It was scary every single week to have your body change and get bigger. Even though it is a blessing, I don’t think we talk about what’s happening with our bodies and it was happening on live television.”
Noting she “felt so supported by all the women out there,” Witney added, “It’s just a testament to women and what we can do. It’s incredible.”

Although it may look like Witney has super-human strength after dropping into the split mid-pregnancy, she assured fans she’s nursing some back pain after their elimination.
“It is hard, I’m not trying to mask anything,” she confessed, “but, we are amazing and we can get through anything.”

Now, Witney is looking ahead to enjoying the next few months before her brood becomes a family of five. But how do her and Carson’s sons feel about becoming big brothers to a baby boy?
“They’re excited,” she told E!. “My youngest, he doesn’t like girls, so he’s like, ‘I’m really happy it’s a boy because I’m not liking girls right now.'”
