Watch: ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Eliminates 4th Celebrity Contestant Despite Giving “Best” Performance
Brandon Armstrong may have waltzed his way out of the Dancing With the Stars ballroom Oct. 6, eliminated alongside partner Ciara Miller, but his dance card remains full.Ā
“People are always so curious about the pros and what their jobs look like behind the scenes because it’s not really talked about,” his wife Brylee Armstrong acknowledged in a TikTok last October. Fortunately, the influencer was fairly familiar with the footwork, having married the professional dancer in 2022.Ā
At the time, the San Francisco native was reeling from another shocking elimination, having exited stage left with season 34 partner Lauren Jauregui.Ā
However, “Brandon is still very much a pro on the show,” Brylee explained in the 2025 clip. “Just because his partner was eliminated doesn’t mean that he just gets the boot and he’s gotta pack his bags and go all the way back to Utah.”
Instead, there are some new steps to follow.
For starters, there’s the whole song-and-dance with the press, the eliminated duo usually making an appearance on Good Morning America and speaking with other outlets.Ā
And from there they remain booked and busy, helping choreograph opening numbers and special performances, assisting their fellow pros with rehearsals and taking part in more group dances.Ā
Because while it takes two to tango, it requires a whole team to come up with the weekly production. So, it’s a common joke that once pros are out of the running for the Len Goodman Mirror Ball Trophy, their schedule becomes even more packed, said Brylee, “because then they get added to other people’s dances.”
“So instead of dancing once a night, they’ll dance multiple times,” she continued. “Essentially, [they] become another member of the troupe.”Ā
In other words, despite being cut in the week one double elimination, Hailey Bills will continue to make the whole place shimmer this season.Ā
“We’re still considered pros,” she recently noted to Today. “We’re just eliminated. Iām pretty sure it’s almost every week, I’ll still be doing some sort of performance.”Ā

Indeed, the morning after Rylee Arnold was played off with her partner, Pentatonix baritone Scott Hoying, last October, she told her nearly 2 million TikTok followers, “Today I have a rehearsal for an eliminated pro bumper that’s happening for this episode, so I’ll still be a part of it.”Ā
Bottom line, stressed Brylee, “Dancing With the Stars takes care of their people, so no need to worry.”Ā
And while she was hesitant to spill the tea on her husband’s salary, other pros have let it flow. Keep reading for more franchise secrets.Ā
