Even Vera Wang needs a sick day.
The designer, 77, shared a makeup-free Instagram selfie from her bed on Saturday, leaning against a pillow while laid up with a head cold.
“STUCK in my bed sneezing a lot….. so staying here …..my real office. !🙏👏🛏️📥” she captioned the post, which showed her without a trace of her usual dark eyeshadow.
The time for bed rest seemingly didn’t last long. By Tuesday, Wang was posting to her Instagram Stories from the back of a town car.
She also shared a snap of herself lounging in an office lobby in sky-high heels and dark sunglasses.
Bedsheets and a bare face are rare sights on Wang’s feed, which usually offers a glimpse at the bridal mogul’s jet-setting lifestyle and endless wardrobe.
In recent weeks, she’s sat front row at pal Anna Sui’s New York Fashion Week show and chatted with Maria Sharapova at the US Open.
She’s also fronted a campaign for Vera Wang Eyewear and spent plenty of time on what she called “the closest thing to heaven”: a golf course in the Hamptons.
And when a gala invite arrives, she tends to answer with plenty of skin. At the Fragrance Foundation Awards in June, she bared her midriff in a bra top and low-slung skirt of her own design.
Later that month, she rang in her 77th birthday at Paris’ Plaza Athénée in a blunt-cut blond wig and white jersey halter gown. Sharon Stone approved, commenting, “PSSST the hair is smokin 😍.”
Wang’s go-to formula for looking this good? “Work, sleep, a vodka cocktail [and] not much sun,” she once told a follower on Instagram.
A day under the covers checks at least two of those boxes.
