Beau Clark isn’t pumped about his relationship dynamic with wife Stassi Schroeder.

The 46-year-old—a former casting director who transitioned to life in front of the camera after becoming official with Schroeder on Vanderpump Rules—admitted to “shoving down” concerns about their six-year marriage during the House of Stassi premiere July 29.

“I’m trying to balance wanting her to have her space and to be able to not stress out when she’s working,” Clark told Taylor Strecker, Schroeder’s podcast cohost on Stassi with Tay. “But then also, I’m sitting here, and I’m angry and resentful.”

One point of contention? Schroeder dove into her podcasting business after she was fired from VPR in 2020, while Clark—who shares kids Hartford Charlie Rose Clark, 5, and Messer Rhys Clark, 2, with the New Orleans native—stepped into more of a supportive role at home over pursuing his own career.

“I’m trying not to stress out Stassi. She’s got the show going on and she has her podcast,” Clark explained while narrating the scene. “She’s got brand deals and hopefully at some point, I’ll be able to find the words to just have a chat.”

And holding back on his marital woes has admittedly left Clark feeling “detached.”

“It’s like we’re roommates,” the Los Angeles Rams superfan divulged. “I don’t feel worthy.”

As such, Clark got candid with Schroeder about their home life when they did have an emotional conversation about their relationship.

“I just literally just feel like a 1950s housewife where I have my apron on,” Clark said. “I’m cleaning everything while feeding the kids.”

For her part, Schroeder emphasized that she was grateful to Clark for “being with me in the thick of it every day for the last five years.”

Still, the 38-year-old has also previously expressed concerns of her own when the couple vacationed at Lisa Vanderpump‘s Vanderpump Villa. Schroeder took issue with Clark’s relationship with sister Georgia Bardetti, including their matching tattoos of each other’s names.

“Beau has a habit of putting his sister Georgia’s needs before anyone else’s, including his wife’s,” Schroeder confessed in the 2025 episode, a habit she called “f–king weird.”
