It’s been quite some time since we’ve seen Sheamus in a WWE ring, dating back to November of last year when he teamed with John Cena and Rey Mysterio in a six-man tag against The Judgment Day. Just over one month later, he was having surgery to repair a shoulder injury.
He told OTB Football about the injury and where things stand on it now:
“Yeah, this one has been difficult. It kind of came out of nowhere. I started noticing my shoulder around May-June at Clash in Paris against Rusev. It was bothering me and I thought I tore it. I got a couple of shots in there and it felt good for a little while, but ultimately it was just a matter of time before it stopped moving on me. I tried to push through it to the point where I couldn’t move my arms. I had surgery on December 30. Ever since then, I’ve been rehabbing. I’m dying to get back in the ring and back to work. I have cabin fever.”
It’s almost hard to believe Sheamus has been with WWE for some 20 years now. He just turned 48-years-old in January, so the end is much closer than the beginning but it sure sounds like the old veteran still has plenty of fight left in him.
