When WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley cut a promo on last week’s SmackDown with a brace around her knee, it sounded like her recent injury on WWE’s European tour might keep her out of action for only a short period of time. I’m a little less certain about that after WWE gave on update on Ripley’s status during tonight’s (June 12) SmackDown.
The commentators said the knee injury that Rhea suffered in Italy is still being evaluated, and how it responds to treatment will determine her estimated return date. That’s a vague update, but it sounds like there is potential for this injury to be more serious than I originally expected.
