Ronda Rousey answers the hot question about her future with AEW

Last week, President Tony Khan told the media that the door is always open for Ronda Rousey in AEW. She made a surprise appearance for the promotion at the Revolution PPV in March during a post-match angle involving Marina Shafir and “Timeless” Toni Storm. Rousey didn’t do anything physical in the ring, given the risk that would pose to her MMA return in May against Gina Carano.

Now that her fight with Carano is over, combined with Khan saying the doors are open, there is renewed interest on what Ronda’s future relationship with AEW might look like. However, in an interview on Up & Adams, the Baddest Woman on the Planet reiterated that her appearance at AEW Revolution was an isolated thing.

Adams: “[Your daughter] doesn’t want you to say I’m staying, I’m gonna do AEW, which is a hot topic right now…Are you interested in that, though? Tony said the door is open. Talk to me about how realistic that is.”

Rousey: “No, that life of being on the road is probably more time-consuming than doing training camp at home.”

Adams: “You had fun though!”

Rousey: “I had a great time. But it just happened to be in town, and my best friend was there. You know what I mean?”

Darn, I guess that means Ronda Rousey isn’t the Wild Card entry in the women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

Do you think Ronda will pop up again in AEW at some point down the line, and maybe take someone’s arm next time? Let me know in the comments below, Cagesiders.
