In a conversation about watches, Roman Reigns revealed that his time isn’t up yet.
Speaking with watch expert Nico Leonard on Leonard’s YouTube channel, the 10-time WrestleMania main eventer was asked what’s left to achieve at this stage in his career, prompting a candid response from the Tribal Chief.
“I’m very happy with what I’ve done over the past few years, and I could hang my hat on that, but I know I still have more to offer,” Reigns said.
Despite having done nearly everything in WWE, Reigns believes he can still dominate the scene, but says being recognized as the industry’s top star requires staying with the company.
“There’s no true competition for us,” said Reigns. “There’s other promotions, there’s other places to work in wrestling. But if you want to be in the top show, if you want to be considered at the very tippy top of the mountain, you have to be in WWE.”
One accolade missing from Reigns’ resume, however, is the title he’ll challenge CM Punk for next Sunday at WrestleMania 42: the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Created in 2023, the title is often viewed as inferior to the established Undisputed WWE Championship, currently held by Cody Rhodes.
During a 2024 episode of SmackDown, Reigns dismissed the newer championship as “the loser bracket title.” Reigns, who feels he has a lot left to do creatively, believes he can take any championship and show what it can become in the hands of a megastar.
“My goal is to showcase the difference between when I have a title and when everybody else has one,” Reigns said. “There’s a difference between when I hold a championship and the rest of the cast.”
Last year, Reigns offered a retirement timeline within a couple of years. While he didn’t reveal how much longer he’ll stick around, it doesn’t sound like he plans on leaving any time soon — so long as the money is good.
“If the ATM machine’s broken, you’re not going to run away from it. You’re just going to keep collecting that money,” said Reigns.
