Watch: ‘RHOSLC’ Star Angie Katsanevas Says She “Never” Saw Shawn Trujillo Breakup Coming
Angie Katsanevas would’ve anticipated a snowflake in July before a split from husband Shawn Trujillo.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star—whose separation from the hairdresser was first reported in July—confessed that she would “absolutely not” have believed that she and the 55-year-old would ever grow apart.
“Never in a million years,” she exclusively told E! News. “No, it’s a hard thing to go through when you’re questioning your future and what that looks like for you as a couple.”
One reason that the sunglasses style icon—whose relationship struggles are unfolding on season seven of the show, currently airing on Bravo and Peacock—believed her vows would last forever? Katsanevas is a practicing Greek Orthodox Christian.
“In my religion or faith, you’re together forever,” the 52-year-old explained. “That was my goal, obviously, in marrying Shawn.”
Despite the difficult period after 27 years of marriage, the entrepreneur—who grew Lunatic Fringe Salon into a national franchise alongside Trujillo, with whom she shares 15-year-old Elektra—is committed to continuing to openly share her life.
“We’re facing challenges,” Katsanevas admitted, noting, “I’m always honest about what I’m going through, what I’m dealing with at home.”
And staying candid amid the relationship struggles has only been made more complex by her role on reality TV.
“You’re not only facing these challenges at home, but you have to share them with the world,” she continued. “So I just do my best to be vulnerable, honest and real.”
And Katsanevas is not the only snowflake holder experiencing a shift in her marriage. In addition to news breaking of costar Whitney Rose separating from husband Justin Rose over the summer, Bronwyn Newport had previously announced her separation from ex Todd Bradley during the season six reunion, which aired in January 2026.
As such, Katsanevas applauded Newport on her single era, including a brief relationship with model Brandon Good, who Katsanevas called “nice.” Though the hairstylist noted she had only been “seeing it in the press,” she said of the couture lover, “Looks like she’s having fun!”

Still, Katsanevas did sprinkle in a little shade toward the 41-year-old, referencing Newport’s comment that Good was “six boyfriends ago” on WWHL Sept. 16 when confirming their split.
“I only really heard about Brandon,” she continued, quipping, “I didn’t know there’s been five others since, but she’s busy. And wow, you go, girl!”
“She’s not even divorced yet, and she’s already tried out six new models, and of all ages, and good for her,” Katsanevas teased, adding, “I’m a little old school, so I usually would probably personally wait until it was official. But good for her, good for her.”
