Rey Mysterio is the general manager of AAA. As such, the lucha libre legend is making moves with big news. Rey dropped a two-piece of exciting announcements.
First, Rey revealed that the NXT Women’s Championship will be defended for the first time ever in AAA. Lola Vice puts the gold up against La Hiedra, which airs next week on Saturday, June 27. This is a big match for the AAA women’s division with this feud brewing for months. It should be a good payoff.
Second, Rey teased a major debut. He is in negotiations to bring in a former WWE world champion. This man has never competed in AAA. Let the guessing games begin. It would be cool to see Gunther wrestle El Grande Americano in Mexico. Or swing for the fences, and bring in Randy Orton. Maybe CM Punk is getting jacked just for this occasion.
