Watch: Cindy Crawford’s son Presley Gerber dead at 27
Cindy Crawford‘s family is facing the unimaginable.
The supermodel’s son Presley Gerber, who she shares with husband Rande Gerber, died in a rehab facility on Sept. 20, according to the Los Angeles Medical Examiner. Presley, Kaia Gerber‘s older brother, was 27.
No cause of death has been determined at this time.
A rep for the family also confirmed Presley’s passing to TMZ, sharing that they are “asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time.”
Over the years, Presley had been very open about his mental health journey.
“I’ve had a lot of loss in many different forms recently,” he said in a Dec. 2025 Instagram video. “That is not an excuse, but it’s the reason—or part of—why I am where I’m at now.”
The model went on to share the medications he’d been taking, noting he didn’t “have as much direction” on his dosages as he would like.
“Every psychiatrist I’ve had—and I’ve had, like, 15—they’re all like, ‘Here’s 20 medications,’” he recalled. “‘Take this if you feel like this, take this as needed.’ And I’m like, ‘No, don’t give me that much leeway. I need some direction.’”

He also addressed his inner circle, explaining that he wanted to surround himself with positive influences.
“I’ve grown up in Hollywood, and there’s a lot of people around that I love to death,” Presley said, “but right now, I try not to be around them.”
“I’m hoping this reaches people in many ways so you feel like you’re not alone, because that is how I feel most of the time,” Presley added. “I have a feeling if I say all of this, a lot of people will at least know that there’s someone else going through it.”

It was just last month, in a Vogue article published Aug. 11, that Kaia discussed her brother’s personal struggles.
“When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone,” the Shards actress shared. “I think that’s also why I started to self-identify as the easy one and never wanted to ask for help. Because it felt like too much to have two children who were needing.”
As she commended her brother for speaking out. “My parents for most of our lives were very, very private and didn’t share anything,” Kaia said, “and now we have this absolute teacher, my brother, who says, ‘I’m gonna be very human for everyone.’ There’s only so much you can hide from the world. And trying to put a lid on something just makes the person feel like you’re ashamed of them.”
