It’s the penultimate week of the month, so The Pokémon Company has rolled out the red carpet for the next expansion coming to TCG Pocket.

The ‘Deluxe Pack: Mega’ set will be the latest to join the fray, launching on 30th September (or 29th in select time zones). Like the ‘Deluxe’ release before it, this collection will contain four-card packs, made up of many cards from previous expansions ‘Mega Rising’ through to ‘Ruler of the Skies’.

Aside from bringing back reissues of every four-diamond rarity card from these expansions, the Deluxe pack also guarantees that you’ll pull an ex card in every pack, so the odds are truly in your favour. Remember, a recent app update now sorts these reissued cards into their corresponding original expansion, so you can still fill out your collection while opening the new set.

We’re still missing quite a few rare cards from the recent expansions, so this feels like a good opportunity to mop some of them up (before the new dual-type set launches next month, that is).
