Includes Aardman’s stop-motion series & the original animation
During Pokémon XP this week, it was announced the new stop-motion series ‘Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu‘ by Aardman (Wallace & Gromit) would be a Disney exclusive.
This included a new teaser trailer, with the full series scheduled to stream worldwide “exclusively” on Disney+ in 2027. It will also be available on Disney XD.
The new stop-motion is set in the Galar Region and will see Sirfetch’d and Pichu set out on a gallant quest to help and protect Pokémon across the region. More insight was shared during the XP panel.

As part of this agreement, the classic animation Pokémon the Series: The Beginning (starring Ash and Pikachu) is now streaming on Disney+ (and Disney XD in the US) and “select” markets outside of this location.
