Sammy Guevara and Beast Mortos demanded competition in CMLL. Well, Sammy did the demanding, while Beast rawr’ed. Fresh off defending the ROH World Tag Team Championship against Los Villanos, the LFI duo want someone to step up.
Sammy flexed his Spanish speaking skills to refer to himself as, “Mexico’s favorite luchador,” which means Mexico’s favorite wrestler. He took credit for the sell-out two weeks ago in Arena Mexico, even though, he wasn’t in the main event. (The main event was a trios match featuring Japanese legend Tiger Mask.)
Mistico is coming for the opportunity, and it was later revealed that his Sky Team partner Mascara Dorada will join him to challenge for the ROH tag titles.
That ROH tag title bout will be the main event for CMLL’s Friday show in Arena Mexico on June 26.
Mistico and Mascara Dorada currently hold the CMLL World Trios Championship with Neon. Mistico and Mascara Dorada stayed sharp in preparation with a tag team win over NJPW House of Torture’s Sanada and Dick Togo on Monday night in Puebla.
