Migos Alum Quavo Reveals He’s a Dad, Welcomes First Baby

“You know, keeping her happy and not telling her ‘no,’” he said, “just being that for her.”

Quavo first shared a glimpse of his little one in a short film shared to his Instagram Sept. 28, where he can be seen looking down at his baby as she looks into the camera.

“New Beginnings New Blessings,” he captioned the post, adding of his upcoming album, “QRÖMELIFE Friday!”

The project—which marks Quavo’s third solo album—will be one of the “MotorSport” rapper’s most vulnerable bodies of work yet, as it includes references his nephew and Migos collaborator Takeoff’s 2022 death. (Takeoff was fatally shot during an altercation outside a party he attended with Quavo. He was 28.)

And while Quavo has been open about the grief he’s endured since the rapper’s passing, he also shared how he’s been able to channel his pain into healing his relationship with another member of the hip-hop trio: Offset.

Indeed, it was “me losing my brother and understanding that it can’t get no tougher than that,” that made Quavo—who infamously had a falling out with Offset following Takeoff’s death—have a change of heart about squashing any beef.

“It eased it a little bit. It threw out all the things that I was upset about or that we had friction about,” Quavo explained, noting he can only speak for himself in the situation, in his interview with Complex. “It was enough for me to say, ‘Alright, cool. Whatever you’re going through, I’ll go through with you. And I hope you understand what I’m going through.’”
