Anna Jay recently took to Twitch to downplay speculation surrounding her AEW status, during which Jack Perry interjected to send a “f*** you” to wrestling journalist Sean Ross Sapp.
Earlier this week, Sapp addressed Jay’s current standing in AEW, given her contract is set to expire soon. Speaking on the Fightful post-Dynamite reaction show on YouTube, Sapp claimed he heard Jay was frustrated with her booking in AEW last year. He added she may have gone as far as to mention contacting WWE NXT boss Shawn Michaels about a potential spot.
“I don’t know if she has re-signed or not. Months ago, I was told she wanted to be in [AEW television special] Blood & Guts, wasn’t in Blood & Guts, and she extended some frustration to AEW,” Sapp said. “She’s like, ‘I wanted to be featured.’ And I heard that she was also very clear that she had Shawn Michaels’ number and would use it as needed.”
Anna quickly shot down Sapp’s report when a fan posted his remarks on X (Twitter).
“I don’t know where this information is coming from, and you don’t know what you’re talking about. Please shut up,” Jay wrote, adding she would see fans on AEW Collision on Saturday.

Jay, with real-life boyfriend Perry seated next to her, later went live on Twitch to further address rumors surrounding her contract status.
“It’s not a big deal, but just a lot of stuff going on online that you guys have been seeing — a lot of it is not true,” she said.
The former Jericho Appreciation Society member added that the alleged source regarding her frustration in AEW “was someone I used to work with, and he no longer is working for me as of a few months ago. So I don’t know exactly if that’s true or not, but it apparently came from him.”
Jay then stated firmly: “The only thing out of everything that’s been posted that’s true is just that my contract is coming up, but that is it. That’s it. Not a big deal.”
After Anna stated that recent rumors are “pretty much B.S.,” Perry got up from his seat and offered up two middle fingers to the camera.
“So, in other words, Sean Ross Sapp, f*** you!” Perry exclaimed.
“Oh no, Jack,” Anna said while covering part of her face with her hand.
“That’s what you really meant to say,” Perry said. After Anna replied “no,” Jack seemingly returned his attention to Sapp by saying, “Get a real job.”
Jay, who last competed for AEW in November 2025, is scheduled to face TBS Champion Willow this weekend (May 2) on Collision.
