Have we seen the last of Beau Greaves on the PDC Women’s Series? ‘Beau ‘n Arrow’ admits she felt “deflated” and felt “everybody wanted me to lose” after the 2025 edition.
Greaves claimed her third Women’s World Matchplay title in four years as she edged out Fallon Sherrock 6-5 in a thrilling final in Blackpool.
The Doncaster arrowsmith kicked off her title bid with an assured 5-1 triumph over Finnish star Kirsi Viinikainen before surviving a scare against Gemma Hayter.
Greaves set up a winner-takes-all clash with Sherrock in the final with ‘The Queen of the Palace’ taking back-to-back legs to level at 5-5 and force a decider.
They shared maximums but Greaves came out on top with a checkout of 56 to secure the crown.
Greaves has won a record 57 PDC Women’s Series titles and discussing her future, the 22-year-old spoke about the difficulty of spinning between the men’s and women’s game.
“It’s tough really,” she said. “I think I’ve tried to just focus on the men’s side, on my Tour Card. I think after the last Women’s Series, I felt a bit deflated after it.
“I didn’t really enjoy it too much. I just felt a bit like everybody wanted me to lose, so coming out of there I was like ‘maybe I should just focus on playing better darts and more competitive darts and my ranking’, just give me something to work towards.
“I think in the ladies game gets a bit stale for everybody because you’re working towards this target and once you’re there, there’s nothing else to go towards.
“After the last one I was just thinking, ‘I think now I’ll concentrate on the Pro Tour and the Euro Tour that I’ve qualified for’, just try and do that.
“I still love that side of the game, but now I think my main goal is the men’s side and enjoy that part of it and the challenges that come with it.”
Greaves’ latest glory is only just the start with the World Youth finalist admitting she has got to focus on improving her stage game.
“I play darts for enjoyment but now it’s my job, but I love the game. I cannot get enough of it, and to be able to support the ladies’ game is a massive thing,” said Greaves, who became the first woman to win a PDC ranking title with a historic 8-7 victory over Michael Smith in the Players Championship 11 final.
“I want to play even better. I win tournaments on the floor, but I think my stage game has got to improve and I know that.”
‘I’m really enjoying the challenge’
Greaves’ victory on the Winter Gardens stage also secured her place in the 2026 Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts and the 2027 Paddy Power World Darts Championship, after having featured in both tournaments last year.
“Obviously winning a Pro Tour really put me in the rankings. I’ve done well, quarter-finals, semi-finals, but it’s tough,” said Greaves.
“I think I’m really enjoying the challenge just to get there, to qualify for them and yeah, it’ll be an achievement for me just to play there and just to say I have done it.
“I want to win, I want to do well, I need to work harder, I want to play better. I know I’ve got a long way to go before I’m really, really competitive with the men.
“I know I can do it, I just have to work harder for it and just put my mind to it, just believe in myself more than anything. I think sometimes I just doubt myself too much and it gets in the way of stuff.
“I enjoy the Pro Tour, the Euro Tour coming up, I look forward to them and it’s tough, but it’s good.”
‘I can beat anybody’

Greaves also sent out a warning to her rivals, saying she “never surprises herself” and she can “beat anybody” on her day.
“I think with me, it’s just when and where it’s going to turn up and that’s something that is not a very good point in my game is that I am still very inconsistent, but I can be very consistent. It’s just one of those things,” said Greaves, who made more history on the PDC Pro Tour after qualifying for both the Hungarian Darts Trophy and Czech Darts Open.
“I know I can do it, I think sometimes I just get very happy in my own life and sometimes I forget that I need to do better, keep winning, keep doing that to prove to get up the rankings. I get very settled and that’s my problem really.”
“I will definitely take the positives,” insisted Sherrock, who fell short in a last-leg decider in the showpiece for the second consecutive year.
“If somebody had said to me I’d get to the final, I’d have bitten their hand off.
“Beau deserved to win. She was the better player, so full credit to her.
“Hopefully this kickstarts my season. My main aim is to get to the World Championship, so if I can regroup my game, you never know, I might go on a run again.”
