Watch: Harry Potter’s Jessie Cave Reveals How Much She Made in First Day on OnlyFans
There was a time when Jessie Cave wished she could wrap herself in an invisibility cloak.
Indeed, the Harry Potter alum—who portrayed Lavender Brown in the franchise’s final three films—shared she felt timid about launching her OnlyFans account last year due to misconceptions about her income as a child star.
“People just assume I’m rich and I have loads of money and no I don’t,” Cave said in a recent interview on the UK talk show This Morning of her income from the Harry Potter films, pointing out that she had “a small-ish part and it was 20 years ago.”
“So, it was embarrassing,” she continued about joining OnlyFans, “because on a certain level, I would have really liked to get a job. But you know what it’s like, you have kids. It costs so much for childcare.”
Aside from making content on the subscription-based app, Cave—mom to four kids with longtime partner Alfie Brown—thinks of herself as a “struggling artist,” noting she mainly does one-woman shows with puppets these days.
But her OnlyFans page has allowed her to continue with the craft.
“This is how I’m making a living as an artist,” she said. “I want to have less shame about it. I want other people who do weird art like me, I want them to know that there is some way of still making [it].”
Cave launched her OnlyFans account in March 2025 to share non-sexual hair-focused content with a “slutty Mormon” vibe.

“It’s very much geared toward people who have an interest or fetish with hair,” she elaborated on her Before We Break Up Again podcast at the time. “I do a lot of videos with my hair on Instagram and I have now for a while. I just noticed that I always get comments.”
She added, “They’re never sexually depraved or lascivious. It’s never dirty comments, but I do get lots of interest in the hair thing and I just thought, ‘F–k it, I’m going to do something that is very niche.’”
Recently, the 39-year-old shared insight into the financial success she’s experienced since joining the platform.

“I’ve earned more, easily, than my entire acting career within one year,” Cave told The Times in an interview published Aug. 7. “I see people on Instagram posting bikini shots or sexy stuff and I think, ‘You could be charging for this! You’re losing money!’ I see that being the future. Everyone will be paying for everything.”
And while she’s made quite the lump sum in cash since launching her OnlyFans account, with the outlet reporting she made £15,000 after just one day on the app, the real prize has been being able to support her family.
“I thought I’d make five grand, be on it for a few months and it would buy me time to work out what we’re going to do,” Cave said. “But it’s now been over a year and a half and it’s genuinely saved our lives.”
