“Why is he doing that? Is that normal?” “I don’t know!” Paramount Pictures has unveiled the first trailer for animation sequel The Angry Birds Movie 3, hitting theaters nationwide in December at X-Mas time at the end of this year. Just when you thought we wouldn’t see any more Angry Birds movies ever again, they went and made another. The original Angry Birds Movie, based on the mobile phone video game, opened in theaters in 2016 with the second one out in 2019 before the pandemic. Now 7 years later there’s another one – made by an entirely different studio this time. This holiday season, one angry bird will face his greatest challenge yet, surviving fatherhood… while saving the world! The huge voice cast includes Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Emma Myers, and Rachel Bloom, also joined by Walker Scobell, Danny McBride, Marcello Hernández, Tim Robinson, Anna Cathcart, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Nikki Glaser, MrBeast, Salish Matter, Psalm West, Sam Richardson, James Austin Johnson, Lily James, Keke Palmer. Yep this looks ridiculously goofy and extra cheesy and cliche, but that’s exactly what they’re going for with this next Angry Birds sequel.
Here’s the first official trailer (+ poster) for John Rice’s sequel The Angry Birds Movie 3, from YouTube:
