“The universe is built on trying to find order through connection.” Amazon MGM Studio has revealed their first look teaser trailer for an amusing new romantic comedy movie arriving at the end of the summer – for streaming only on Prime Video. The Love Hypothesis is adapted from the book of the same name written by Ali Hazelwood, with another one of these “aw isn’t that adorable” concepts. After an impulsive kiss, two scientists end up in a fake relationship, testing their theories about love and each other. Lili Reinhart stars as Olive, a brilliant PhD candidate focused on her future in academia. But when she realizes her best friend Ahn has fallen for her crush Jeremy, Olive impulsively kisses the intimidating professor Adam to prove she’s moved on and they end up running with it. She must then test her most daunting hypothesis yet: that love might actually be worth the risk. With Reinhart, this co-stars Tom Bateman, Rachel Marsh, Nicholas Duvernay, Jaboukie Young-White, and Arty Froushan. This cute teaser plays like a science education video you’d watch in school – which is kind of fun, but I still want to see more real footage from this anyway.
