“Bonnie doesn’t want to play with toys anymore. She needs me!” 🐸 Disney & Pixar have debuted one final official trailer for the Pixar sequel Toy Story 5, opening in theaters worldwide this June – a full 31 years after the original Toy Story in 1995. After three other sequels to the original, this time the toys are finally going to deal with the elephant in the room – technology. 😱 Will they convince kids to go back to old toys? Buzz, Woody, Jessie are challenged after being introduced to what kids are obsessed with today: electronics. The villain is a high-tech frog-shaped smart tablet named Lilypad voiced by Greta Lee (as introduced in the teaser). For without any kids now, yep these things are real. Conan O’Brien will also be a part of the voice cast as toilet training tech toy, Smarty Pants. All the regulars are back: Tom Hanks returns as ever loyal cowboy Woody, Tim Allen is back as Buzz Lightyear, and Joan Cusack saddles up again as Jessie. And interestingly, Andrew Stanton is directing – he has made plenty of Pixar movies before, but this is his first Toy Story movie for the animation studio. From Toy Story 4 (in 2019), Tony Hale is returns as Forky, and Bonnie is back to round up all her favorite toys. This looks like it might be good!
