After a sneaky ESRB rating appeared online earlier this year, we’ve been waiting for Fellow Traveller and Sunset Visitor to make 1000xRESIST – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition official. Well, surprise, the studios have now done exactly that, and the release is right around the corner.
This souped-up version of the 2024 hit will arrive on Switch 2 on 20th August (yep, later this week), with an enhanced framerate and resolution delivering “the definitive way to experience 1000xRESIST on a Nintendo console”.

Most importantly, the Switch 2 upgrade will be completely free to all those who already own the game on the old hardware, and Fellow Traveller has announced that it’ll be discounting the base game by 40% on the eShop during its launch week.
For those who missed this one on launch, 1000xResist is a stunning sci-fi thriller, packed with twists and turns as you attempt to solve the mysteries of your 1,000-year-old society.
We had a wonderful time with the Switch 1 version back in 2024, calling it “a beautiful, heartfelt game with one of the best-written stories we’ve ever experienced” in our 9/10 review. This week’s new release feels like a prime opportunity to dive back in, no?
