“We are more than men. We live forever!” 🦜 MGM+ & Paramount+ have revealed the main official trailer for an intense new Treasure Island series, arriving for streaming starting in October this fall. A fresh new adaptation of the iconic pirates adventure novel of the same name from Robert Louis Stevenson, originally published in 1883. Jim Hawkins sets sail aboard the Hispaniola, but as the crew closes in on Captain Flint’s treasure, loyalties begin to fracture and Long John Silver’s ambitions emerge. Starring David Oyelowo as Long John Silver, Hayley Atwell as Bess Hawkins, and Tom Sweet as Jim Hawkins, with Jack Huston, Tomer Capone, Craige Els, Tristan Sturrock, and Neil Pendleton. Jim Hawkins discover a treasure map, but his mother Bess’s actions put them both in danger. Aboard The Hispaniola, they navigate threats from pirates and agents as alliances shift and survival hangs in the balance. Not sure why we need a pirate adventure story right now?
