Christian Cage cheated to retain the AEW world tag team championship against the Young Bucks at All In. The Bucks weren’t too happy about it when they hit the ring on tonight’s (Sept. 2) episode of Dynamite. FTR also got in there to antagonize Matt and Nick Jackson about it, leading to the legendary old men champs coming out to issue a PPV challenge to both teams.
Copeland said the way the finish of the All In match went down doesn’t sit right with him, but there’s one obvious way to solve the problem. That’s by bringing back the TLC gimmick match that Cope and Cage made famous in WWE. However, Copeland didn’t use the acronym “TLC” while explaining his challenge to the Bucks and FTR. Instead, he simply said the match will involve Chairs, Tables, and Ladders. That specific order of objects was reiterated again before Dynamite went to a commercial break, leaving me to assume it will later be announced as a CTL match.

UPDATE: The match was made official for All Out later in the show, and it is being promoted as a “3-way Ladder match.” Come on now, what happened to the Chairs and Tables that Cope spoke about?
