Watch: Bunnie Xo Reveals Reason for “Not Mutual” Divorce With Jelly Roll
Bunnie Xo is more than OK with her and Jelly Roll‘s divorce settlement.
Though news of the couple’s breakup broke just days ago, the podcaster revealed she and the “I’m Not Okay” singer have already amicably divided their shared assets—including the “dream house” they had been building together.
“My husband and I are ending this marriage on the best possible terms,” Bunnie (real name Alisa DeFord) shared on the June 18 episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast, explaining how Jelly Roll (born Jason DeFord) had filed for divorce last month. “We’re literally settling our divorce. We’ve done it in two weeks, three weeks.”
The 41-year-old said her ex agreed to give her the property they had purchased last year, a massive compound featuring three houses that she’s been largely designing herself.
“J is so f–king sweet that he’s giving me that compound in the divorce,” she continued, “because he knows how special it is to me.”
Bunnie also hinted that she will be getting some financial support from Jelly Roll, 41, quipping, “I joke around with him. I’m like, ‘Well, you didn’t take care of me in the marriage, but you’re taking care of me in the divorce.'”
She added, “We stan a f–king king.”
Indeed, Bunnie and Jelly Roll—who got married in August 2016—remain on good terms. In fact, the Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic author said the couple are “still having a baby” together after embarking on an IVF journey years ago.
“That’s my f–king best friend, dude,” Bunnie said, adding that she and Jelly Roll are also “going to co-parent” kids Bailee, 18, and Noah, 9, from the Grammy winner’s previous relationships. “We have been the most unconventional couple that you guys have ever encountered.”

That’s also why she’s encouraging Jelly Roll to date, which she said he has been pursuing since their split.
“He wants to settle down, but I’m just like, ‘J, you just got out of a 10-year relationship,'” Bunnie shared. “I’m like, ‘Go play the f–king field, bro. This is your time to shine. Go f–king drop that f–king wiener off everywhere, dude.'”
Besides, Jelly Roll is “healthier than he’s ever been” since his 200-pound weight loss.
“Daddy Roll is probably in his finest season,” Bunnie raved. “I think he wants the complete opposite of me right now, which is what he deserves.”

But Bunnie wasn’t always so thrilled about this new chapter. After all, she did note that the decision to divorce was “not mutual.”
“I felt like we deserved a chance to go to therapy and figure s–t out,” Bunnie said. “He didn’t feel that way and I respect it. It took me a month and a half now to respect that.”
And now, she sees the silver lining in their breakup.
“Was it necessary for us to have a wakeup call and to actually start having these real conversations? Absolutely,” Bunnie stated, explaining how the pair had trouble communicating in the past. “This was like a resurrection of my soul, because I literally feel like a different human than I was a month and a half ago—and I’m so thankful.”

And they remain committed to each other.”Who knew that us breaking up in 2018, me moving back to Vegas & you coming to get me back – would have put us on this wild journey called life,” Bunnie wrote on TikTok in February 2023. “We finally committed to each other & did everything we promised each other the first night in 2016. Our castle in the sand had to crumble so we could rebuild on solid ground. I yuh you so mushhh.”
