Watch: Serena Williams Shares She Suffered a Knee Injury During Wimbledon Return
Alexis Ohanian and his daughter Olympia are having a ball.
Indeed, the Reddit co-founder and his 8-year-old daughter—he and wife Serena Williams also share Adira, 2—enjoyed a father-daughter outing at the New York Liberty game in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Aug. 27. Making the highlight reel for the pair: Hanging out with the WNBA team’s mascot Ellie the Elephant.
“Papa-Daughter basketball night with @bigellieliberty @nyliberty makes me realize all my teams need a mascot this awesome,” Alexis wrote in an Aug. 27 Instagram post. “Thanks, Ellie, you made Jr’s night!”
For the fun-filled evening, Olympia—born Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr.—wore a cream sweater with a blue collar, paired with jeans, while her dad donned a dark blue button-up over a black t-shirt.
In addition to their pics with the pachyderm, the entrepreneur provided a play-by-play of their evening, including some game film of he and Olympia watching the mascot dance on the sidelines.
As Alexis put it, “What a star!”
To cheer on New York’s squad (who won the league title in 2024), the 43-year-old and Olympia took a time out from rooting for another champ as they and Adira have been rooting for 23-time Grand Slam winner Serena as she competes in the US Open.
The entrepreneur shared a sweet shot of him and his girls at the NYC-based tournament, captioning the Instagram Aug. 25 post, “Always cheering for mama @serenawilliams (and @carlitosalcarazz !!).”
The photo featured Olympia carrying her younger sister in her arms as the girls and their dad watched Serena and Carlos Alcaraz play a mixed doubles match.
And while the pair lost in the quarterfinals, Serena—who announced her return to tennis in June after nearly four years away from the sport—and her sister Venus Williams are set to play doubles together in early September, marking their first time teaming up at the US Open since 2022.
As Serena continues to hit major milestones amid her comeback—including her Wimbledon return in June—she’s doing it with her family by her side.

“Our little family is so proud of you @serenawilliams,” Alexis wrote alongside cute photos of their squad at Wimbledon in a June 30 Instagram post, “even though it wasn’t the outcome you wanted, you’re an inspiration.”
“We love you,” he added, “@olympiaohanian @adiraohanian are also happy they got to stay up a bit past their bedtime.”
